Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright as well as a teacher of St. Thomas University). Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's first memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at her job. When she was a kid, she appeared in several commercials. Anna relocated from Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna changed her religion to Judaism in January 2011 and they renewed their vows during a Jewish wedding ceremony in Fredericton. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was featured in CNN's top TV Couples in the history of television and was named top Television Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on social media increased following the popularity of her show.
